Dr Lovat is ACC’s Academic Registrar. His PhD research specialised in finding ways for students from diverse backgrounds to persist and succeed in higher educational settings – Dr Lovat was awarded the University of Adelaide’s Doctoral Research Medal for his studies in this field. He is on the TEQSA list of educational experts for both VET pathways to university and ELICOS (English Language Courses to Overseas Students).

Alex has taught at various levels of education from elementary school to university. He has led schools in Australia and Italy and piloted new educational ventures in China, Australia and in the Middle East.
