The Australian Chiropractic College (ACC) was established by a passionate group of industry practitioners, committed to ensuring that future generations – our children, grandchildren and beyond- have access to excellent, dedicated, chiropractic care.

The ACC program has been designed with public safety as a priority; providing a holistic, ‘job ready’ focus on chiropractic education. Our bachelor degree students will graduate well prepared – and appropriately skilled – for long term careers dedicated to chiropractic.

While students who choose to finish after the diploma year, may enter other health related career areas or, take their diploma qualification on to further study in a related field.

The one and only in South Australia – The Australian Chiropractic College is the only TEQSA-registered educational institution in South Australia to offer a Bachelor of Chiropractic degree. This degree program been designed by chiropractors with professional and academic credentials, with a view to graduating practitioners who are committed to an integrative whole person (vitalistic) approach to chiropractic care.

International partners – Our cutting-edge program builds on the internationally recognised curriculum of our partner, the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. We share our philosophy with global players in both hemispheres. Our students have opportunities for international exchange and research.

Accreditation

The College is registered with the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), who are responsible for regulating and assuring the quality of all providers of higher education in Australia. The ACC is currently registered with TEQSA to deliver a Bachelor of Chiropractic (Australian Qualifications Framework Level 7), and a Diploma of Health Science (Australian Qualifications Framework Level 5).

The Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia (CCEA) is an independent accrediting authority for chiropractic education under Australia’s National Registration and Accreditation Scheme. The Bachelor of Chiropractic program of Australian Chiropractic College is accredited with conditions by the Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia. Whilst the Bachelor of Chiropractic has CCEA accreditation, the Chiropractic Board of Australia has not yet recognised the program as an Approved Program of Study which provides graduates with the ability to immediately meet the qualification registration requirement to practice in Australia.  The Chiropractic Board of Australia is expected to consider the ACC Bachelor of Chiropractic upon graduation of the first ACC cohort in 2024. The Chiropractic Board of Australia website (Chiropractic Board of Australia – Accreditation) notes that “Section 53(c) enables an individual who holds a qualification relevant to chiropractic to qualify for general registration by completing an examination required by the Chiropractic Board of Australia. The relevant examination for the purposes of section 53(c) is an exam by the Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia (CCEA).”

The campus is in the heart of central shopping, business and entertainment.  We are situated a minute’s walk from nationally acclaimed cafes, bars, restaurants, clubs, pubs, theatres, shopping and some of the best music, comedy, food and art festivals on offer.

It is accessible by bus, tram, train, bike, scooter – you name it. If you drive, there’s a car park right behind ACC’s campus and there are a number of other parking options near by.
